I want my culture back!

For the past half century or so, a subtle but determined worldwide effort has been under way to dilute, ridicule, marginalize, demoralize and dismantle the foundations of Western culture. It's not your imagination. Some call it the New World Order cult; it's more usually known as Cultural Marxism or Gramscian Marxism, after the man who gave birth to the idea, the former head of the Italian Communists, Antonio Gramsci (1891–1937). We have previously written about Gramscian Marxism at length.
Cultural Marxism, also called cultural hegemony, operates covertly, allowing the masses to be deceived into believing that they still have freedom and choice in major areas of their lives, whilst their vibrant, patriotic, moral, religious and joyful culture is quietly stolen from them, and replaced by a dull, secular, amoral and pessimistic one. As you will have noticed, everything good, decent, enjoyable, optimistic, God-related and liberty-oriented has been under attack. It's deliberate, it's deceitful, and it's demonic.
The Apostle Paul taught: “Whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy — meditate on these things. (Philippians 4:8) The cultural Marxists are hoping that you should not meditate on these things, while God is hoping that you will.
Examples of encroaching Cultural Marxism abound in modern America. In education, you'll find even intelligent, Christian families rushing to enroll their children in the multicultural, Marxist brainwashing factories that public schools have become. That's assuming they get to school age. Millions of children are needlessly aborted, while approving liberals euphemize such murders as a “choice”. Well, no child of our acquaintance has ever made the choice to have its brains sucked out and be denied the chance to live. And let's not even start talking about the role of the so-called media! Our TV has been off for over 15 years, and it's staying that way.
In politics, Cultural Marxists have fought to preserve America's anachronistic two party system. Although Pat Buchanan's anti-Jewish rants have ruined his reputation, he did say a wise word on this topic back in 1996: “America has a one-party system disguised as a two-party system.” In other words, you're supposed to think you have a choice, but what you really desire – limited, ethical, constitutional, government with low taxation – is not on the menu and never will be – and these days expressing such a desire will land you on a list of domestic terrorists.
Years ago, we suspected that some politicians were corrupt and up to no good. That turned out to be an inaccurate understatement. As freedom of the individual has been curtailed, governments have expanded their tentacles, along with the welfare state. The dark forces of the New World Order are now well on the way to establishing a World Government.
Recently, in Britain, hundreds of members of Parliament – almost half the House of Commons – have been forced into resignations after an investigation by The Daily Telegraph revealed that they were taking taxpayers' money to improve their own homes. The reputations of the arrogant are now in the gutter, as indeed they should be. As Jesus said of the Pharisees: “You appear to people as righteous but on the inside you are full of hypocrisy and wickedness.” (Matthew 23: 28) Can a similar cleansing here in America be far behind?
Cultural Marxism also fights battles on the religious front. Anything Christian or Jewish is automatically suspect and is usually patronized and marginalized, while things Muslim and atheist are glorified – and frankly, almost deified. People who order their lives with a sense of morality, religious or not, are ridiculed. And God is shut out of public discussion.
Europe has thus far borne the brunt of this aspect of the culture war. Millions of unwanted Muslim immigrants have been encouraged to move from Arab countries and South Asia to transform and destroy Western Europe's culture and landscape.
In recent elections, voters in 27 nations across the European continent said “Enough!” and elected parties which stood against further immigration, against the New World Order, and against liberalism and socialism. Just three days after they were left without control of a single county in local elections, Britain's ruling socialist Labor Party was left with only a handful of seats in the European Parliament, receiving just 15% of the vote.
Apparently, people are finally catching on to the effects of Gramscian Marxism and they don't like the changes. Offering an excuse for the Labor Party's worst performance since the First World War, Alistair Darling, the Chancellor of the Exchequer (Treasury Secretary) said “We need to explain ourselves better, and set out clearly what we are for.” On the contrary, old chap, you explained yourself rather too well – and millions of Britons, who see their culture and country under siege from a multitude of alien cultures, understood, perhaps for the first time, and voted against them. There were similar stories in France, Germany and two dozen other countries.
Before you start dreaming that such an awakening could soon happen in America, you must remember that elections are still free and relatively uncorrupted in Europe, and also that His Magnificence the Emperor is one step ahead of you. In the US, we have electronic voting to ensure the result desired by the New World Order. And His Magnificence has just appropriated over $5,000 million of your money to give to ACORN, the outfit that specializes in election fraud and voter intimidation, as he glibly assures gullible voters and media people that this money was allocated for “community stabilization.” Most communities, however, are a great deal more stable when Black Panthers and other armed Obama thugs – who should be behind bars along with His Magnificence – are not patrolling the streets, flush with bucketloads of your money. And, incidentally, where's that birth certificate?
The deceit of Cultural Marxism dominates in foreign policy too. In Cairo last week, the Emperor told a staggering number of untruths, including equating the suffering and deaths of six million Jews in the Holocaust with the so-called Palestinian Arabs' desire for yet another homeland. Outrageous? Of course. But an even more breathtaking untruth was contained in his flattery of Islam.
He said: “Throughout history, Islam has demonstrated through words and deeds the possibilities of religious tolerance and racial equality.” Religious tolerance? Is he absolutely insane? Surely he knows that other religions are not tolerated at all, and that Christians and Jews are executed simply for practicing their religion in Saudi Arabia and other Arab nations. As George Orwell wrote: “Political language is designed to make lies sound truthful and murder respectable, and to give an appearance of solidity to pure wind.” Perhaps the Emperor believes in the syncretistic lie that "all religions are the same". More likely, he has no clue what he's talking about, and therefore would be wise to refrain from speaking on such topics. After all, there is no value to this man's words. They are meaningless and deceptive.
Charles Krauthammer summed it up well: “Obama undoubtedly thinks he is demonstrating historical magnanimity with all these moral equivalencies and self-flagellating apologetics. On the contrary. He's showing cheap condescension, an unseemly hunger for applause and a willingness to distort history for political effect. Distorting history is not truth-telling, but the telling of soft lies. Creating false equivalencies is not moral leadership, but moral abdication. And hovering above it all, above country and history, is a sign not of transcendence but of a disturbing ambivalence toward one's own country.”
So is the Emperor really ambivalent about his own country? That's somewhat difficult to determine until we find out which is his own country. And where's that birth certificate again?
These days, it's easy to get so lost in depressing thoughts that one simply gives up. That's what the forces of evil are hoping you'll do. After all, their plans for government to run every aspect of your life depend on your shrugging your shoulders, retreating to the privacy of your peaceful garden and letting them get on with it. To accomplish precisely that result, they create the false impression that the recession is so deep, the problems so great, and the challenges so complicated that it's all too much for the average person, and only they can find the answers. That's an absolute lie from start to finish, a series of multi-layered falsehoods, created to delude the average person into giving up. We must not give up, even if the circumstances are worse than we have ever known.
A few moments of rational thought will surely bring people to their senses, and to realize that this milieu of dull, meaningless deception is not the culture in which most Americans prefer to live. A few decades ago, most of America was peaceful and optimistic, prosperous and content. The deliberate march of Cultural Marxism through our culture has rendered that nation a distant memory. Before it fades away altogether, let us ask whether we are willing to fight for that America which we recall and love. If so, each of us must sit down and think carefully what we can contribute. Anything you can do would help: daily prayer, self-dependence, spreading the word or activism. What these evil people seem to have forgotten is that “unless the Lord builds the house, its builders labor in vain.” (Psalm 127:1) With God's help, if we all pull our weight, the flimsy kingdom of the cultural Marxists will surely fall and we can set about the rebuilding of the America we love.
In the days of Nehemiah, there was also a rebuilding effort. He was quick to realize that the effort of rebuilding was necessary to receive God's blessing. "You see the trouble we are in: Jerusalem lies in ruins, and its gates have been burned with fire. Come, let us rebuild the wall of Jerusalem, and we will no longer be in disgrace." (Nehemiah 2:17)
Similarly, how can we ask God to bless this America which has drifted so far from Him? What we can ask is that He would bless and guide our rebuilding effort. As with Nehemiah, only by His might shall we succeed. Let us together begin the task, and “the God of heaven will give us success.” (Nehemiah 2:20)
